YOUTH ACADEMY – THE STORY OF SUCCESS

GNK Dinamo Zagreb is the record holder in the history of FIFA World Cup finals. None of the world clubs had more home-grown players among FIFA World Cup finalists than Dinamo Zagreb’s Youth Academy. According to UEFA definition of “home-grown player” (playing in a club for three years between age 15-21), Dinamo also holds a record in the final of FIFA World Cup. With 10 players produced in our Youth Academy, Dinamo is ranked first, above Barcelona (WC 2010) and Ajax (WC 2010). Furthermore, GNK Dinamo Zagreb Youth Academy produced 8 players which participated at the FIFA World Cup in Brazil in 2014. These astonishing numbers represent the philosophy, methodology and practical approach which the Academy takes when it comes to developing players for the highest level of professionalism. Furthermore, what needs to be even more emphasized is that GNK Dinamo Zagreb Youth Academy has been in the top 5 academies in the ranking of the academies which produce the most players for the top 31 divisions. The numbers are astonishing when compared to the best clubs in the world. The academy is doing a tremendous effort in keeping the trend of developing great players for the first team and top European flights.
